Symgnosis

through ten reader-philosophies 观牌 · 用十种读法

Symgnosis is a bilingual reading room for tarot through philosophy: 78 cards and ten reader-philosophies, in English and Chinese. Cards are a questioning device, not a forecast, and the ten hall names are editorial lenses rather than ten human fortune-tellers. Live-draw personalization uses a language model by default when one is configured; static card pages do not. This is not medical, legal, or financial advice.

What is a reader-philosophy compared with a human fortune-teller?

A reader-philosophy is an editorial lens — Existentialism, Stoicism, Absurdism, Taoism, Buddhism, Nietzschean philosophy, Phenomenology, Cynicism, Epicureanism, or Confucianism — that keeps tone and questions consistent. The ten hall names are not ten people each running a separate practice.

Tarot here is a pictorial questioning device in the historical sense of a 78-card deck (see Wikipedia: Tarot), read through those lenses rather than as a forecast of events.

How do live draws differ from static card pages?

Static card pages are a 78×10 template matrix, editorially reviewed, and opening one does not call a model. Live draws can send your question and spread to a configured language model; that path is on by default when a model is configured.

The public map of display names, schools, and draw URLs is on Traditions; the editorial standard is on Method.

Surface What you get Calls a model?
Static card page 78 situations × 10 lenses, English and Chinese, editorially reviewed No
Live draw table A sitting for your own question, with optional follow-up while logged in Yes, by default when a model is configured
Field notes Editorial essays, signed Symgnosis Editorial No

When should you not use this site?

Do not use Symgnosis as medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, or as a substitute for therapy, diagnosis, or treatment. Ask about your own choices; we do not read for absent third parties.

Boundaries are in the Disclaimer and AI notes.

Which ten reader-philosophies can you cite?

Each row is one hall lens. The source links are Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy entries used as background for the school names, not as a claim that those authors endorse this site.

How to start a Symgnosis reading

  1. Choose a language. Enter English or Chinese from the language tiles on this page.
  2. Pick a reader-philosophy. Open the reading hall or the traditions table and choose one of the ten lenses.
  3. Draw or open a static page. Sit at the live draw table with your own question, or open a static 78-card page. Live-draw personalization is on by default when a model is configured.
